Turkey became the tenth largest producer of commercial eggs by developing the infrastructure and quality of its production which has started in 1970s. The sustainable structure of Turkish egg sector enables it to meet the animal protein needs of not only its consumers but also the consumers of the neighboring countries, through increasing export.

Turkish egg producers have powerful local and national organization which pioneer the development of the sector through technical assistance, and protect their rights and interests.
